Everything you need to know about selling your material to M&R Recycling. Can't find your answer? Call us directly at (267) 345-3237.
We base every price on live commodity market values — the same markets that large industrial buyers and refiners use. We track tungsten, silver, gold, platinum, palladium, copper, and all other metals daily. When market prices go up, your payment goes up. We are completely transparent about how we arrive at our numbers, and we are always happy to walk you through the calculation. Our reputation has been built over 15 years on giving customers a fair price every single time — that is not something we are willing to compromise.
We pay 50% of the agreed amount the moment your material ships — as soon as we have your tracking number, we release the first payment. The remaining 50% is paid promptly upon arrival and verification of your material. Payment is made via check or wire transfer, whichever you prefer. There are no net-30 terms, no waiting around, and no surprises. Fast, reliable payment is one of the things we are most proud of.
Yes — we buy all quantities, from a single box of carbide inserts to full truckloads of material. Whether you are a small machine shop with a few pounds of carbide scrap or a large industrial facility with thousands of pounds, you will receive the same level of service and the same competitive pricing. No quantity is too small or too large for us to handle.
No hidden fees, no surprise deductions. The price we quote you is the price you get paid. We do not charge processing fees, handling fees, or assay fees on standard material. For certain specialty materials that require third-party assay or analysis, we will always discuss any associated costs with you upfront before you ship anything. Transparency is a core part of how we do business.
It is simple. Contact us by phone or through our contact form and tell us what material you have and approximately how much. We will give you a quote and schedule a pickup at your location at a time that works for you. We handle all the logistics — you do not need to arrange any shipping or freight. We come to you anywhere in the United States.
Yes. If you need packaging materials before your pickup, just ask. We can supply cardboard boxes, gaylord boxes, steel or fiber drums, super sacks, poly bags, zip-lock bags, and packing tape. We want to make the process as easy as possible for you, and that starts with making sure you have everything you need to get your material ready.
Absolutely. If you prefer to ship your material directly to us, we will provide you with our shipping address and packing instructions. For carbide, place material in heavy-duty zip-lock bags, box it up securely, and keep each box under 60 pounds. For X-ray film, you can ship it inside the envelopes — no sorting required. See our Shipping Instructions page for full details on how to pack each material type.
Yes — we serve all 50 states. We have customers from coast to coast, from large industrial cities to rural areas. No matter where you are located in the United States, we can arrange pickup or provide shipping instructions to get your material to us quickly and safely.
That is completely fine — just call us at (267) 345-3237. We have over 15 years of experience identifying and grading industrial metals and materials. Describe what you have, where it came from, and what it looks like, and we will help you figure out exactly what it is and what it is worth. You can also send us photos and we will identify it for you at no charge.
Yes. We buy tungsten carbide in any condition — clean, mixed grades, oxidized, contaminated with coolant or oil, or in soft scrap form such as carbide dust and sludge. We do not require you to sort or clean your material before sending it. We handle all grading and processing on our end. The only thing we ask is that you keep carbide separate from steel and other non-carbide materials where possible, as this helps us give you the most accurate price.
Yes — this is one of the things that sets us apart. You do not need to remove film from envelopes, jackets, folders, or any other packaging. We purchase the film as-is and handle all the sorting and processing ourselves. Our services include removing X-ray film from envelopes, spot paper, CDs, and any other packaging at no charge to you. This saves you significant time and labor.
We buy gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium, tantalum, zirconium, indium, and more — in any form including scrap, powder, wire, crucibles, sputtering targets, catalysts, plating solutions, and thermocouple wire. If you have a precious metal or platinum group metal and are not sure if we buy it, just call us. The answer is almost certainly yes.
Yes. M&R Recycling is NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) certified. This certification is particularly important for customers recycling X-ray film, which often contains protected health information (PHI) on the envelopes and jackets. Our NAID-certified process ensures all patient data and sensitive information is destroyed in full compliance with HIPAA regulations. We provide a certificate of destruction for every job upon request.
Yes — we provide full certificates of recycling and destruction upon request for all material types. This is especially important for hospitals, imaging centers, dental offices, and any facility that handles protected health information. Our documentation gives you a complete audit trail and keeps your facility fully compliant with all applicable regulations. Just let us know when you contact us that you need documentation and we will have it ready for you.
Absolutely. We treat all customer information with complete confidentiality. We do not share, sell, or disclose any customer information to third parties. Your business, your material, and your transaction details are private. This is a standard we have maintained since we opened in 2010 and it is non-negotiable.
We are always happy to answer any questions you have — no matter how big or small. Give us a call, send us an email, or fill out our contact form and we will get back to you promptly.
